Boeing is looking at a blockbuster year for its commercial business, in India. The company expects a packed order book thanks to deliveries scheduled for carriers like Jet Airways, SpiceJet and Vistara, said Boeing's VP for India and Asia sales Dinesh Keskar.
Keskar said the company is delighted with the Indian market and has solid orderbook for the next four to five years. “We have already sold over 225 Max to Jet Airways, about 155 Max to SpiceJet with additional options and then recently six 787 Dreamliners to Vistara with four purchase rights," he said.
“As far as we are concerned, we are fulfilling our agreement with the leasing companies with the airlines in India without any delay,” he added.
He also said that the company is monitoring Jet Airways developments closely and was confident of Jet Airways resolving its issues at the earliest. "Everything takes time, no matter where you are in the world. However, we are comfortable that things will happen.”
