2019 election will be people’s referendum against BJP, says Mamata Banerjee
Sep 14, 2018 12:14 PM

People want change and 2019 will stand witness to people's referendum against the BJP, said West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, adding that the party's win in 2014 was a rare occurrence.

Mamata also criticised the government for failing on any conceivable parameter.

"Most of the regional parties are working together to defeat the Modi government in 2019," she said.

Earlier on Friday, ten days after the Majerhat Bridge collapsed in Kolkata and killed three people, Mamata said the Public Works Department (PWD) of the state government had been found negligent and they would not be forgiven for that.
