07:09 AM EST, 11/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- US equity investors will focus on a reading on Q3 gross domestic product growth, the Federal Reserve's preferred inflation gauge, as well as Fed minutes for clues about the future path of monetary policy in a holiday-shortened week.
*US stock market will be closed on Thursday for the Thanksgiving holiday and will also close early at 1 pm ET the following day.
*The Federal Open Market Committee will release the minutes from its latest policy-setting meeting on Tuesday.
*A second reading on US Q3 gross domestic product growth is scheduled for release on Wednesday with forecasters expecting a no revision from the first reading at a 2.8% rate, according to estimates compiled by Bloomberg.
*The Personal Consumption Expenditure Price Index, the Fed's preferred measure of inflation, will also be released on Wednesday. The PCE price index is seen up 0.2% for October, while the core measure is seen up 0.3%.
*Traders are also looking ahead to Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales for an early indication on how strong the upcoming holiday shopping season will be.
*On the earnings front, BHP Group Limited ( BHP ) , Analog Devices ( ADI ) , Dell (Dell), and CrowdStrike ( CRWD ) are some of the major companies to report quarterly earnings this week.
