02:09 PM EDT, 03/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Akebia Therapeutics ( AKBA ) shares slid 28% amid heavy trading after the company said late Wednesday that it priced a public offering of $50 million common shares.

More than 22.2 million shares traded intraday compared with a daily average of about 2.72 million.

Cosciens Biopharma ( CSCI ) announced a possible delay overnight in filing year-end reporting documents, saying it may need additional time to address "certain matters" related to the 2024 all-stock merger with Ceapro.

Shares slumped 22% following an increase in intraday trading volume to over 70,000 from a daily average of about 24,000.

Yiren Digital ( YRD ) shares sank after the company reported Thursday a year-over-year decline in Q4 net income.

The decrease was primarily due to a growing loan volume facilitated by the company's risk model, which required upfront provisions and increased investment in acquiring higher-quality borrowers and developing AI capabilities, Yiren said.

Shares slid 20% as intraday trading volume rose to over 625,000 versus a daily average of about 136,000.

Price: 2.06, Change: -0.79, Percent Change: -27.64
