The Philadelphia Semiconductor index fell 0.8%.
In sector news, tech companies such as Nvidia (NVDA) and Oracle (ORCL), as well as foreign government officials, are urging the Trump administration to reconsider its planned restrictions on AI chip exports, Bloomberg reported.
In corporate news, Apple ( AAPL ) is likely to avoid a possible fine after the company changed the iPhone's browser design to comply with the Digital Markets Act, and the European Commission is poised to conclude its investigation early next week, Reuters reported. Apple ( AAPL ) shares rose 0.9%.
CrowdStrike ( CRWD ) shares popped 3.3% after BTIG upgraded the company to buy from neutral, with a price target of $431.
Rumble (RUM) said Tuesday that its Q4 loss widened on a yearly basis even as revenue surged nearly 50%. Its shares added 0.8%.
