01:42 PM EDT, 03/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks were higher Monday afternoon, with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) rising 1.8% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) climbing 3.3%.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor index rose 3.1%.

In corporate news, Roper Technologies ( ROP ) said that it has agreed to buy CentralReach, an autism therapy software provider, in a $1.65 billion deal. Roper shares added 0.6%.
