01:35 PM EDT, 10/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks were mixed Thursday afternoon, with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) up 0.2% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) shedding 0.8%.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor index rose 0.3%.

In corporate news, Revolut said Thursday it has asked Meta Platforms ( META ) to pledge to cover the losses of fraud victims, arguing that its collaboration with UK banks and financial bodies on sharing data doesn't adequately address the need to fight fraud globally. Meta shares were rising 1.4%.
