Alnylam Pharmaceuticals ( ALNY ) shares jumped past 10%. The company said late Thursday the US Food and Drug Administration has approved a supplemental new drug application for Amvuttra to treat cardiomyopathy of wild-type or hereditary transthyretin-mediated amyloidosis in adults.
AstraZeneca ( AZN ) will invest $2.5 billion in a new research facility in Beijing just months after the company's top executive for China was detained by the country's authorities, Bloomberg reported. AstraZeneca ( AZN ) shares were shedding 2%.
Johnson & Johnson ( JNJ ) plans to increase US investments to more than $55 billion over the next four years to boost its manufacturing and research capabilities. Its shares were 0.2% lower.
