Sector Update: Health Care Stocks Higher Monday Afternoon

02:03 PM EST, 02/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Health care stocks were higher Monday afternoon, with the NYSE Health Care Index up 0.2% and the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) adding 0.6%.

The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) shed 0.3%.

In corporate news, IDEXX Laboratories ( IDXX ) shares jumped 12% after the company reported quarterly earnings that beat estimates.

Becton Dickinson ( BDX ) is considering a potential separation of its life science division, according to media reports. Becton Dickinson ( BDX ) shares were up 0.6%.

Annovis Bio ( ANVS ) shares fell nearly 30%. The company said it priced an underwritten public offering of 5.25 million shares and warrants to buy 5.25 million shares at a combined price of $4 per share.
