Sector Update: Financial Stocks Lean Lower Premarket Thursday

09:15 AM EDT, 10/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were leaning lower premarket Thursday, with The Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLF ) down 0.4%.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares ( FAS ) was down 0.9% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares ( FAZ ) was 1.1% higher.

KKR (KKR) has provided Peregrine Energy Solutions with a credit facility from its managed insurance accounts, offering financing of up to $250 million, the companies said. KKR shares were 0.6% higher premarket.

Brown & Brown ( BRO ) and insurance agency The Canopy Group said a Brown & Brown ( BRO ) unit has acquired the latter's assets. Brown & Brown ( BRO ) shares were up over 1% pre-bell.

Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A, BRK.B) has sold additional common shares of Bank of America ( BAC ) in three transactions this week, according to a filing. Bank of America ( BAC ) shares were 0.5% lower premarket.
