09:09 AM EDT, 04/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks fell premarket Thursday with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) 4.8% lower recently.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was down 7.1% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 2.8% higher.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was down 6.6% at $66.96 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil fell by 6.1% to $70.36 per barrel. Natural gas futures were 1.4% higher at $4.111 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
ExxonMobil ( XOM ) said it has appointed Matt Crocker as president of its ExxonMobil Product Solutions Company and vice president of Exxon Mobil Corporation ( XOM ), starting May 1. Shares of Exxon Mobil ( XOM ) declined by over 4% pre-bell.
