03:30 PM EDT, 04/01/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were mixed late Tuesday afternoon with the NYSE Energy Sector Index down 0.1% and the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) adding 0.3%.
The Philadelphia Oil Service Sector Index rose 1%, and the Dow Jones US Utilities Index increased 0.1%.
West Texas Intermediate crude oil declined 0.4% to $71.22 a barrel, and global benchmark Brent fell 0.4% to $74.46 a barrel. Henry Hub natural gas futures dropped 3.9% to $3.96 per 1 million BTU.
In corporate news, Shell (SHEL) shares were down 0.8% after it said Tuesday it completed the sale of its Energy and Chemicals Park in Singapore to CAPGC, a joint venture between Chandra Asri Capital and Glencore Asian Holding.
