08:58 AM EDT, 03/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks advanced premarket Friday as the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) was 0.8% higher recently.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was up 0.9% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 0.4% lower.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 1% at $67.23 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 1% to $70.58 per barrel, and natural gas futures were 2% lower at $4.03 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
MRC Global ( MRC ) shares fell by over 3% after the company reported that it swung to a Q4 adjusted net loss as sales fell during the period.
