09:12 AM EDT, 04/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were falling pre-bell Monday, with The Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLP ) 1.3% lower and The Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLY ) down 2.4%.
Carnival (CCL) said it is launching Carnival Festivale, the fourth ship in its Excel class ships, in spring 2027. The company also said its fifth Excel class ship, Carnival Tropicale, will be delivered in spring 2028. The company's shares were down more than 6% premarket.
WK Kellogg (KLG) is being investigated in Texas over potential violations of the state's consumer protection laws over health claims on its cereal products, the office of state Attorney General Ken Paxton said in a statement. The company's shares were nearly 2% lower pre-bell.
RH (RH) said it faces no greater tariff-related risk than other premium furniture retailers as it has moved most of its production out of China to Vietnam and its North Carolina facility. RH shares were down more than 2% premarket.
