Broad-market exchange-traded funds IWM and IVV were higher. Actively traded Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ) gained 0.3%.
US equity indexes rose while most government bond yields fell after midday Monday.
Energy
iShares US Energy ETF (IYE) and Energy Select Sector SPDR (XLE) each rose about 0.8%.
Technology
Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) added 0.4%; iShares US Technology ETF (IYW) and iShares Expanded Tech Sector ETF (IGM) were also rising.
SPDR S&P Semiconductor (XSD) was down 0.3%, and iShares Semiconductor (SOXX) was 0.1% lower.
Financial
Financial Select Sector SPDR (XLF) added 0.5%. Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) gained 1.4% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) dropped 1.6%.
Commodities
Crude fell 1.9%; United States Oil Fund (USO) was down 2.2%. Natural gas climbed 4.7% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) rose 4.8%.
Gold was up 0.2% based on Comex, and SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) fell 0.2%. Silver was 1.7% higher and iShares Silver Trust (SLV) added 1.2%.
Consumer
Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR (XLP) gained 0.4%; Vanguard Consumer Staples ETF (VDC) and iShares Dow Jones US Consumer Goods (IYK) were higher.
Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR (XLY) was up 0.8%; retail fund VanEck Vectors Retail ETF (RTH) and SPDR S&P Retail (XRT) were higher.
Health Care
Health Care Select Sector SPDR (XLV) was up 0.6%; iShares US Healthcare (IYH) and Vanguard Health Care ETF (VHT) were higher. iShares NASDAQ Biotechnology ETF (IBB) added about 1%.
Industrial
Select Sector SPDR-Industrial (XLI) was up 0.5%. Vanguard Industrials (VIS) and iShares US Industrials (IYJ) were higher.
