08:37 AM EDT, 07/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The Chicago Federal Reserve Bank's monthly National Activity Index fell to a reading of 0.05 in June from 0.23 in May, compared with expectations for a reading of minus 0.09 in a survey of analysts compiled by Bloomberg as of 7:45 am ET.
The three-month moving average rose to minus 0.01 from minus 0.08.
Of the 85 individual indicators, 42 made positive contributions to the index in June, while 43 made negative contributions. Some 30 indicators improved in the month, while 54 indicators deteriorated and one remained unchanged.
