08:40 AM EST, 02/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank's monthly nonmanufacturing activity index fell to minus 13.1 in February from minus 9.1 in the previous month, indicating a faster pace of contraction in the sector.
The readings for new orders, prices and sales all decreased in the month, while the employment index increased.
The six-month outlook at the regional level declined, with 31.5% of respondents expecting expansion in the region over the next six months compared with 32.7% that expect contraction.
