Vontier Shares Down After Q1 Sales Fall, Full-Year Sales Guidance Cut

10:13 AM EDT, 05/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Vontier ( VNT ) shares fell nearly 4% in recent Thursday trading after the company reported lower sales in Q1 and cut its full-year sales guidance.

The company reported Q1 adjusted earnings earlier Thursday of $0.74 per diluted share, up from $0.68 a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $0.70.

Sales for the quarter ended March 29 was $755.8 million, down from $776.4 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $755.1 million.

The company said it expects Q2 adjusted EPS of $0.67 to $0.71. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $0.73. Sales for the quarter are expected to be $735 million to $750 million, the company said. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $762.2 million.

Vontier ( VNT ) maintained its full-year 2024 adjusted EPS guidance of $3 to $3.15. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $3.12. The company expects sales for the year of $3.04 billion to $3.10 billion, compared with its prior outlook of $3.05 billion to $3.11 billion. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $3.12 billion.
