11:28 AM EDT, 03/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Centamin plc ( CELTF ) earlier on Thursday reported full-year 2023 adjusted EBITDA of US$398.2 million, an increase from US$319.0 million in 2022.
Revenue for 2023 also rose to US$891.3 million from US$788.4 million in 2022.
The company produced 450,058 ounces of gold in 2023, up 2% from 2022 levels and in line with 2023 guidance.
"2023 is the third consecutive year that we have safely delivered on our production guidance, reflecting the operational improvements and flexibility from our three-year reinvestment plan. Despite ongoing local inflationary pressures, we reduced our [all-in sustaining cost] by $194/oz versus 2022, beating the lower end of our guidance range," said Centamin ( CELTF ) CEO Martin Horgan.
For 2024, the company expects to produce 470,000 to 500,000 ounces per annum.
Centamin ( CELTF ) also announced a final dividend of US$0.02 per share, subject to approval at the annual general meeting on May 21. Total dividend for the full year 2023 was US$0.04 per share.
Separately, Centamin ( CELTF ) said it paid a total of US$141.7 million to governments in 2023.
The company at last look climbed 3.2% on the TSX in early Thursday trading and surged 5.3% in London trading.
