Parkland's Burnaby Refinery Employees Ratify New Collective Agreement

08:20 AM EDT, 06/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Parkland (PKI.TO) on Thursday said its employees at the Burnaby, British Columbia, refinery ratified a new three-year collective agreement.

The refiner and gas-stop operator did not offer details of the new contract with the employees who were represented by the Unifor Local 641 union. The agreement is backdated to Feb.1, 2023, and expires on Jan.31, 2026.

"We are pleased that our negotiated agreement with Unifor has been successfully ratified by its membership," Ferio Pugliese, senior vice president at Parkland, said in a release.

The company's shares closed up $0.42 to $38.27 Wednesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
