11:05 AM EDT, 04/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- NexGold Mining ( NXGCF ) reported Thursday the latest drill results from its 25,000-meter diamond drill program at the Goliath Gold Complex in Ontario.

Results include 10.25 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 2.81 g/t silver over 4.78 meters from Goliath West, and 1.71 g/t gold and 11.47 g/t silver over 6.02 meters from the Far East prospect.

"The high-grade gold mineralization at Goliath West represents potential extensions of the deposit below the planned open pit," said chief executive Kevin Bullock. "These results could be used in a future mineral resource update to potentially expand the size of the open pit mineral resource at the Goliath project, while drill results at Far East demonstrate the potential for further discovery at the Goliath Gold Complex."

NexGold said expanding mineralization at both Goliath West and Far East is also significant because of their proximity to the proposed processing plant at the Goliath project.

"Building a pipeline of future mill feed beyond the current feasibility study work is an important part of our strategy for long term development of the Goliath Gold Complex and creating long term value in the project," Bullock said.

The company's shares were last seen up $0.01 to $0.66 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
