SYDNEY, Aug 5 (Reuters) - Citigroup's ( C/PN ) head of Australian
and New Zealand investment banking Alex Cartel has left the
bank, according to a memo seen by Reuters on Monday.
Cartel will join Rothschild, local media reported.
Cartel joined Citi more than four years ago and served as
head of its local banking, capital markets and advisory group
which covers investment banking. He was previously at Deutsche
Bank for two decades, according to his LinkedIn profile.
His role will be covered on an interim basis by Tony Osmond
who is the bank's vice Chair, Japan, Australia and North Asia
regions, the memo said.
A search is underway for Cartel's permanent replacement at
Citigroup ( C/PN ), according to the memo.
A Citigroup ( C/PN ) spokesman confirmed the contents of the memo.
