Sep 12, 2024 9:41 PM

06:57 AM EDT, 09/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- United Airlines (UAL) safety review by the Federal Aviation Administration is almost complete, Reuters reported late Wednesday, quoting FAA Administrator Mike Whitaker as telling reporters after a speech.

The agency started a formal evaluation in March to ensure that the Chicago-based airline complied with safety regulations following a series of safety incidents earlier this year, the report said.

United Airlines did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment on the matter.
