12:10 PM EDT, 04/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Petrobras (PBR) is evaluating opportunities for an auction of oil blocks in India happening within the year, Reuters reported Thursday, citing the company's head of exploration and production Sylvia dos Anjos.

The Brazilian oil giant has completed data collection to analyze the potential of the offshore areas to be put up for bidding, which are in deep and ultradeep waters, Anjos told the news outlet.

No final decision has been made on whether the company will make a bid, according to the report.

Petrobras did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
