07:07 AM EDT, 04/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Citigroup ( C ) clients in Russia have started receiving coupon payments on securities that were frozen by Western sanctions in Europe following Russia's military offensive in Ukraine in 2022, Reuters reported Friday, citing reports from Russian law firms.

According to Reuters, Wealth IQ lawyers said in a report that the coupon payments started on Wednesday for certain customers of Citi Russia. No financial details were disclosed.

Citigroup ( C ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
