01:46 PM EDT, 10/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon.com ( AMZN ) plans to increase advertising on Prime Video in 2025, adding more ad slots to its shows and movies, the Financial Times reported Wednesday.
The company said it has not seen a significant drop in subscribers since introducing ads eight months ago, alleviating concerns among executives of backlash from customers, the report said.
The ad load will increase a little bit more next year, Kelly Day, Vice President of Prime Video International, told the FT, ahead of appearance at London's "up front" event for advertisers.
Amazon ( AMZN ) didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
