DETROIT, April 10 (Reuters) - General Motors ( GM ) is
laying off workers at its all-electric Factory Zero plant in
Detroit where it is adjusting production "to align with market
dynamics," the company said Thursday.
About 200 workers at the plant will be temporarily laid off,
according to a company source. The move is not related to
recently imposed auto tariffs, according to the source.
Factory Zero is home to the Chevrolet Silverado EV, GMC
Sierra EV, Hummer EV SUV and pickup and all-electric Escalade
IQ.
Factory Zero has about 4,500 employees, according to the
company's website.
