Ford, GM, Stellantis Face $41.9 Billion Higher Cost From Tariffs, CAR Report Says

07:39 AM EDT, 04/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ford Motor ( F ) , General Motors ( GM ) , and Stellantis ( STLA ) are facing $41.9 billion in increased costs from the 25% US auto tariffs, according to a report from the Center for Automotive Research or CAR.

CAR's report also said US President Donald Trump's tariffs on imported auto parts and light vehicles will lead to $107.7 billion in increased costs for all US automakers.

According to the report, the tariffs will impact 6.8 million vehicles produced by Stellantis ( STLA ), Ford, and General Motors ( GM ).

Stellantis ( STLA ), Ford, and General Motors ( GM ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comments.
