03:56 AM EDT, 10/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The International Longshoremen's Association and the United States Maritime Alliance said late Thursday they have reached a tentative agreement on wages.
The parties have agreed to extend their contract until Jan. 15, 2025, giving them time to "return to the bargaining table to negotiate all other outstanding issues."
"Effective immediately, all current job actions will cease and all work covered by the master contract will resume," they said.
Terms of the tentative deal weren't disclosed.
