06:15 AM EST, 03/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- China will impose additional tariffs of up to 15% on imports of key US farm products, effective March 10, media outlets reported Tuesday, citing China's Commerce Ministry.
Beijing reportedly also expanded controls on doing business with key US companies.
Canada is also implementing 25% tariffs on 30 billion Canadian dollars ($20.79 billion) worth of US imports starting Tuesday, with another round targeting CA$125 billion in goods scheduled in three weeks, news outlets reported.
US President Donald Trump recently ordered to increase tariffs on imports of Chinese products to 20%, effective Tuesday, along with 25% tariffs on imports from Mexico and Canada.
