12:51 PM EDT, 04/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) is likely to push up iPhone prices if US tariffs on Chinese imports stay for longer, Wedbush said in a report Friday.
"Apple ( AAPL ) is in the eye of this storm and Cupertino has no choice
but to price iPhones at $2k+ if these tariffs stick for more than a few weeks," Wedbush analysts, including Daniel Ives, said.
The analysts said no US tech company is more negatively impacted by the tariffs than Apple ( AAPL ) with 90% of iPhones produced and assembled in China.
"While Apple ( AAPL ) has diversified its supply chain to other parts of the world including Vietnam, India, and the US...the hearts and lungs of the Apple ( AAPL ) supply chain are cemented in Asia," they said.
The analysts estimated the vast majority of iPhone production is out of China, over 50% of Mac products, and 75%-80% of iPads.
