Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.89.

Revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 31 was $5.28 billion, down from $11.05 billion a year earlier.

Comparable analysts' estimates were not readily available.

The company maintained a quarterly cash dividend of $0.4625 per share, payable on Feb. 28 to shareholders of record as of Feb. 18.
